One and a half hour drive to NRMA Victor Harbor Beachfront Holiday Park. A lovely big park with all the bells and whistles for the kids - jumping pillow, bike track, waterpark, swimming pool and go carts. Just a short walk to the beach. Had a stroll to the jetty and walked over to Granite Island. Albert the clydesdale pulled the carriage across as we were walking. Couple of big waves spraying up against the rocks and it's cool and windy. Amenities at park are ok. Another lovely long beach but again full of weed. Went to the markets at Goolwa and saw the old paddle steamer. Drove to the bluff and West Beach looking out to West Island and saw a pod of dolphins. Stopped at Port Elliot bakery and got a couple of pasties and coffee. Went for a drive and stopped at Coorong Quays - beautiful homes around the marina. Spotted a paddle steamer that was being renovated and had a chat with the workman there. He said the owner was talking about turning it into a B & B or restaurant. One side had been painted and had figures on it including a captain and a dalmation - the dalmation actually lived on the boat and is called Forest. Checked out the Murray Mouth and Al got some drone shots. Drove to Mundoo then back to Coorong Quays to the Islanders Tavern where we had fish and chips and Gosleme - both huge meals. Walked around the marina to check out the boats. Called into Basham Beach where we saw the metal cow made of all sorts of machinery tools. Stopped at Horseshoe Bay then Freemans lookout where we saw a seal rolling around in the water below. Drove to Willunga where there are lots of beautiful old buildings. Only one main street and we stopped for coffee and Al had a vanilla slice. Next Maslin Beach, a stunning long beach with nude bathing at one end. Beautiful turquoise water. Stopped at Port Willunga to check out the caves on the beach and have a swim. On to the Smiling Samoyed Brewery. Two Samoyed dogs on the premises - Hoppy & Kent. No pizzas on today so we had salt & pepper chicken wings and curly wedges - delicious. I had a mango sour beer and Al had the Mias mid strength. Situated near the water with a heap of roos resting under a tree. On to Normanville - another beautiful beach with calm waters. These coastal towns are just gorgeous. Beautifully looked after old buildings and gardens. Drove through Inman valley and checked out the Glacier rock - just a large patch of rock which apparently was a glacier eons ago.
