Arrived Port Mac on the 24th March . Raging flood waters , beaches closed , walking tracks blocked . Big cleanup ongoing . Lots of walks , bike rides , boules . Catch up with Deb and Jim at Lighthouse Beach . Drinks at beach bar , Pretty restricted with flood damage.

Picked up a couple of things from JB HiFi with our voucher. Visited Beach house hotel a couple of times. Al partial to their alcoholic ginger beer. Went to Sea Acres Rainforest centre for boardwalk but could only do half as other half was closed due to flooding. Guy across from us at park plays guitar really good...hope he's staying a while. Tried to find boules or bocce set but all stores out of stock. Al found some on facebook marketplace which we picked up from Lake Innes...RRP $139 we got for$35.

Al went for bike ride and stacked bike dodging people and dogs on walkway....nasty graze on shin and knee. Had a dip in spacious pool. Saw dolphins a few times at breakwall right next to our site. Walked to Plomer ferry 10k return. Most of houses caught in floods...mud everywhere...such a massive cleanup.

Decided to go for a run in the car. Headed to Comboyne and came across a very quaint coffee place at Byabarra. Owner gave Al a bottle of Matsos alcoholic ginger beer...ran out to her car to get it for him. Had to turn back because of landslides on road to Comboyne. Later saw on news it would take 3 months to get one lane open and 2 years to fix.

Al thought he'd take a run along Thone river road thinking Thone river would be at the end. The road (if you could call it that) was massive potholes and ditches. When we got to the end it was a house...not a river.

Went to Deb and Jims for roast dinner. Gorgeous couple. Lovely house and beautiful dog Gabby (their pure bred brown dog).

Al finally got to have a surf and I had a sunbake..so nice to see and feel the sun. Considering there were only about 20 vans when we arrived the park is packed now.

Last night so went to Tapps at Panthers club for dinner. Busy and very loud. Guy playing guitar was seriously too loud...we decided to sit outside. Pizza and chicken skewers with dukha was delicious.
