Arrived Karumba Lodge Caravan Park, small park next to Karumba Lodge Hotel. 31 degrees and right on beautiful turquoise water. Hundreds of locusts flying around bouncing off everything including me! Al got good shot of croc sunbathing on the other side of the river. Drove to Sunset Tavern on Karumba Point supposedly the best place to see the sunset. Beautiful spot with awesome views. Al had a hole in his pocket and lost his keys and the woman who found them was from Avoca!! Back to van to watch the beautiful sunset. Visited the Barramundi Discovery Centre and told all the fun facts about the barra and even got to feed them - they really snap at the food. Our guide recommended buying some barra from the servo caught by licensed fishermen Wren. Did the Ferryman Cruise which picked us up from the wharf next to our park. Did some croc spotting along the shoreline then sailed around for about 2 hours with free drinks and nibblies. Definitely got our $70 worth. Stopped along the way to feed the hawks and whistling kites - about 20 of them. A jabiru was also in the mix to be fed. Stopped on sand island in the middle of the ocean for a stretch of legs and to watch the sun set. Another beer and wine and prawns on the way home - can't complain.
