Had been told to get here early so we left before 8.30. Named after Governor of SA Sir Dominic Daly in 1861. It hosts the 1st international airport in oz and was the rear guard base during the bombing of Darwin by the Japs in WW2. The pub was originally a supply point for drovers. Explorer John McDouall Stuart discovered Daly Waters on May 28 1862. The place is very quirky and the pub is chockers full of bras, t-shirts, hats, thongs and other weird stuff. Spied a bra signed by "The Geordies" Walked around "the town" haha - visited the two water buffalo and the wild pig. Saw Kevin the crocodile, a real croc. Popped into the pub and had a ginger beer - OK alcoholic ginger beer and listened to Jen and Tonic for a while. This place is a must to see. Al nipped into the museum of old cars and bikes.
